I'm the Customer Support guy with over 2 decades of experience in Support and Services technical work and leadership.
I've managed amazing teams in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. To be clear, they were amazing, and I had the pleasure of managing them. I learned more from them than from any other period.
I've made mistakes in support work and management. I hope I'm humble enough to have learned from them and that the lessons I learned will be helpful to others.
I have been on both ends of the layoff spectrum, having to work with executives to prepare for layoffs and being laid off unexpectedly in 2023. I'm happy to share what I've learned on either end. There are better and worse ways to handle both ends.
I love what I do, and I am fiercely opinionated about what I've learned. Hopefully, I can be humble enough to explain why and stay open to learn from each of you!
